A group of Cambridge Prep freshmen are planning to pack their classrooms in preparation for the arrival of President Donald Trump, according to a post on the school’s website.
“We are all going to be packing,” the post read.
“I hope that our students have the time to pack.”
The post has since been deleted.
“Cambridge Prep is proud to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all our students,” the school said in a statement to ABC News.
“The safety and security of our students is our top priority and we have made significant efforts to make that a reality.
We want to assure you that we are working to make sure that every student is safe and secure in the classroom.”
A representative from Cambridge Prep said in an email to ABC that the students have been invited to stay at their dorm room until the end of the school year.
Cambridge Prep is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The Cambridge Police Department said in February that there were two reported incidents involving students who said they were attacked by people dressed as Trump during a school event.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who were injured,” the department said in the statement.
“It is unfortunate that there have been reports of students being attacked by someone dressed as President Donald J. Trump during an event.”
