Fortune article The battle pack, an interactive virtual reality experience, is now available to download from Google Play, Amazon, and Apple’s App Store.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Battle Pack to the App Store, and we’re proud to offer it for free,” said David Healy, CEO of Google Play and App Store in a blog post today.
The Battle Pack features new weapons, equipment, and weapons variants.
The Battle Pack is available for free to play, but it will cost $19.99 for a three-month subscription.
“We want to give you the chance to test out the new Battle Pack and play it in our sandbox for a limited time before it’s released to the general public,” he added.
“This is the first time that a game like this has been released as free, so we’re really excited to see what you think.”
Google Play and Apple are launching two versions of the Battle Box: one for Android devices and one for the iOS platform.
In the Google Play version, players will have access to the “Game Center” which features multiple games on demand, plus a free-to-play game called Battle Pack: The Battle of the Stars.
The game is available in both the Play Store and the Google Webstore.
The Google Play edition will have more game content and includes additional weapon variants.
Google Play also released a free, premium version of the app called Battle Box that is designed to take advantage of new features like motion tracking.
