Walgreen has opened more than 4,500 packages for Diwas this year, which means more than 3 million boxes have been packed.
The company said the boxes will be used to deliver its new ‘diwali pack’ of household goods and other items, and are being distributed to more than 100 stores.
The boxes will also be used for delivery of new products from other companies, including Walmart.
It is also making deliveries of some old goods from companies including Sears, Kmart and Target.
Walgreen said it had more than 50 million boxes of household products ready to go by the end of March.
It said its boxes had been packed with more than 7 million items, with most coming from brands such as Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart and Costco.
The company said it would continue to increase the size of its boxes by increasing the capacity of the packages.
A spokesman for the company said: ‘The number of boxes being shipped has increased to a record level.
We are delivering more boxes than ever before and we’re doing it with a huge smile on our faces.’
He said that the company had had over 200,000 boxes packed at the start of March, which meant the company was more than 5 million more than usual packed in the last month of the year.
